Darkish caramel colour under a marshmallowy head with mellow and mature dates, caramel, allspice and rich Christmas cake aromas. A taste reveals those again in the flavours along with a surprising amount of slightly prickly carbonation. Then along comes a tartness that carries a lengthy finish. Tasty enough and lovely to see a New Zealand brewer bring a variety of styles out on to the market. Not a bad nudge at all. Davros (3338) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 21, 2013
Pours dark copper with a fading head.
Aroma of green apples and gooseberries, lambic-style. Also some sweet malt underneath. Obviously not as intended.
More traditional flavours with bready malt and some toasty notes too. A slight acidity remains of the infection.
Body feels a bit watery. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 8, 2013
The head is robust, the body is brown-red. It smells yeasty, malty, bit flowery, alcoholic. The taste is yeasty, creamy, malty, strange, intensive, malty. Medium DKL (250) - NEW ZEALAND - OCT 14, 2013
Bottle. Light to medium brown with a lot of sediment and a tan head. Very rich, sourdough flavour, quite sweet. Fairly large bubbles. lisagirl (264) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 8, 2013

Nice looking beer, dark copper, with an interesting aroma of grape soda (as in Fanta Grape). Flavor is again that Fanta Grape with a bit of malt and bourbon. Not exciting, but not bad at all. Travlr (26405) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Sample at the source. The newest beer from Harrington’s. hazy golden amber color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of banana and light citrus. Taste is banana bubblegum. Nice.
