Draft. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, metal, and alcohol. A very simple beer - hence boring. Travlr (26214) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Draft at the source, courtesy of staff, thanks! Hazy golden amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet hay. Taste is bittersweet straw. blipp (9784) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 20, 2015
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Straw, pale malts, low sweetness, mild floral bitterness, and a quick finish with fresh hay and straw. Decent. mkel07 (6440) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2010
500ml bottle. So clear you can read through it. Amber and honey in colour topped with a snow white blanket of foam. Aromas of plums and cherries with a mild bitterness and softness on the palate. Easy to drink and would cut through the spiciness of a hot curry nicely. gam (4097) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 4, 2010
Clear gold white frothy head good carbonation aroma yeast fruity hay flavour grain fruit taste hop input bitter weak if any sweetness is there like apple and peach mix finish leaves a good aftertaste of fruit and swet malt

Pours pale gold with a lasting head. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 20, 2009
Nose is grassy and spicy with hints of bready malt. Pretty plain, and there’s also a vegetal note in the background.
More malt shows as a flavour, mainly bready. Very sweet with practically nothing in the way of balancing bitterness. Again, notes of corn and cooked vegies detract from the experience.
Carbonation could be higher.
Bottle. Nice pure white head on top, that laces well. The nose is sweet and grainy. The palate is more creamy, a good example of an indian-style lager. I’d happily team it with a spicy palak paneer. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 29, 2011
Looks lagerish with a thin film of head across the top. A sort of musky aged smell to it remiscent of pilsener malt. Not a great deal of hop character at all. Flavours more of the same: malt driven, wet and coldish. Not great, but not bad either. varanid99 (1377) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 25, 2016
Pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit of cardboard, some lemon and grain. Taste is thin, slightly bitter, a little sour, and quite watery. It’s not really pleasant at all. Cantabrian (1161) - Christchurch NZ, now Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 18, 2013
What makes a lager "premium"? If not related to the price, it should certainly have a positive feature. I was hoping this "East Indies" Premium Lager would have more of a hoppy note, but in reality it was more of of an "Indian Style" lager, sweet grassy, straw, like a Kingfisher.
