It’s a lager, and actually quite a good example of one, but at the end of the day it is still a lager. bozoNZ (778) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 25, 2009
330ml Bottle. Soft clear golden but not alot of head - could be my 2nd hand glass. Graing sweet aroma, soft talcum powder too. More grain, a touch of maltmeal and some honey. Nice sweetness in the malts. Spritzy carbonation. Surely the best NZ curry lager on the market at the moment...? Skarecrow (745) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 1, 2017
Light amber with OK head.
Medium bitterness with crisp dry finish. Meh.

It’s a lager. It lacks some of the bite that you might enjoy with other lagers. but it looks nice and has a decent head. Plus it was cold so no complaints there either. konstifik (573) - SWEDEN - AUG 1, 2010
Pale yellow beer creating an enormous head when poured. Sweet bready aromas, maybe a little caramel too. Can’t really detect any hop action at all here. Taste is sweet, no bitterness. Rather dull to drink.

500 ml bottle
Aroma: moderately yeasty with the smell of bread.
Appearance: Pale clear and golden. Frothy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a modicum of lacing.
Taste: Sweet, mildly so without being cloying. No real sense of bitterness but an undertaste of sourness and a wee bit salty, just a touch.
Palate. Light to medium bodied, thinly creamy, carbonation is like a glass of Alka Seltzer that sat out too long. Finish is short and yeasty.
Overall: Nice, not memorable, better than a lot on tap here but I can see it going with spicy foods as advertised. tombutlin (313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - APR 6, 2015
I’m starting to regret buying a 6 pack of mixed Harringtons beer. Some OK and as many have been very poor. This is poor. No aroma and just a sweet, vaguely lager-like maltiness to distinguish this from lemonade. Yellow rather than golden. Just a tiny taste of hay, like a luke warm Heineken that you opened an hour ago and only decided to finish because there was no beer left in the fridge lisagirl (264) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 19, 2013
not as bad as expected, some more pleasant sweetness than usual. otherwise boring. beer4eternity (226) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - APR 12, 2010
500ml bottle. Crystal clear rich golden hue, nice fluffy white head but it quickly diminishes. Aroma is predominantly nice honey, with a bit of cereal and passion-fruit and faint pine. Flavour is medium-heavy honey sweet but not cloyingly so. Medium body - more than any other lager I have had, texture is initially creamy becoming almost syrupy.
One of the best pale lagers I have had, would be even better with more hops presence. Went well with a Thai curry DKL (46) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 16, 2014
Slightly cloudy with a very fluffy head. Not much aroma, a bit of bakers yeast and citrus that also comes through in the flavour. A bit sweet, but generally nothing exciting. Too boring to justify craft beer prices.
