A clean refreshing lager, moderately hopped. Brewed using only the finest natural ingredients. The result is a smooth Indian lager that is the perfect beer to enjoy with spicy foods.

The colour was medium amber gold, with a medium frothy head, and moderate carbonation. The aroma was light and fruity, with malt and light bitterness. The flavour was quite sweet, with malt and light bitter hops. This beer had smooth soft flavours. It was a simple lighter style, lacking a bit in flavour.

330ml bottle Light amber with OK head. Grainy aroma Medium bitterness with crisp dry finish. Meh.

varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 25, 2016
Pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit of cardboard, some lemon and grain. Taste is thin, slightly bitter, a little sour, and quite watery. It’s not really pleasant at all.

blipp (9904) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 20, 2015
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Straw, pale malts, low sweetness, mild floral bitterness, and a quick finish with fresh hay and straw. Decent.

I’m starting to regret buying a 6 pack of mixed Harringtons beer. Some OK and as many have been very poor. This is poor. No aroma and just a sweet, vaguely lager-like maltiness to distinguish this from lemonade. Yellow rather than golden. Just a tiny taste of hay, like a luke warm Heineken that you opened an hour ago and only decided to finish because there was no beer left in the fridge

It’s a lager. It lacks some of the bite that you might enjoy with other lagers. but it looks nice and has a decent head. Plus it was cold so no complaints there either.

It’s a lager, and actually quite a good example of one, but at the end of the day it is still a lager.

DKL (250) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 16, 2014
Slightly cloudy with a very fluffy head. Not much aroma, a bit of bakers yeast and citrus that also comes through in the flavour. A bit sweet, but generally nothing exciting. Too boring to justify craft beer prices.

lisagirl (264) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 19, 2013
not as bad as expected, some more pleasant sweetness than usual. otherwise boring.

What makes a lager "premium"? If not related to the price, it should certainly have a positive feature. I was hoping this "East Indies" Premium Lager would have more of a hoppy note, but in reality it was more of of an "Indian Style" lager, sweet grassy, straw, like a Kingfisher.

Draft at the source, courtesy of staff, thanks! Hazy golden amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet hay. Taste is bittersweet straw.
