2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a cloudy golden with a fluffy white head. Quite a clean nose with subtle lemon and lime aromas. A clean and slightly hopped flavour, with a hint of sweetness from the lemon and lime and herb and orange on the finish. Flavours are quite subtle, but it is a very clean and refreshing lager, perfect session beer.
I’m not terribly sure about this bottle as when I opened it there was a minimal hiss and poured with not head at all and very little carbonation. Aroma (singular) of malt. Flavour was lighter than aroma with more mouthfeel that I was expecting. Coolish feel and mainly malt character. Sweet and biscuity and a short finish. Bottle. Pours bright clear gold, average white cap. Grainy aroma, a little on the sweet side, with just a whiff of light citrus. The palate is standard grainy lager fare with very little hop influence other than a bit of green bitterness in the finish. Nothing to elevate this to "premium" status in my books, pretty standard really. nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - APR 12, 2009
Draught. Pours golden with a minimal white head. Grain, grass and lemon, a little skunky on the nose as well. Thin bodied and not a lot of bitterness. Another forgettable lager. donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 6, 2009
Pours slightly cloudy golden, thin white head. Grainy sweet aroma, slight citrus notes & vanilla.
Flavour is surprisingly fruity, with some lemony notes. Grassy hops are there with some weak malt. Finishes slightly dry. These heritage beers pack in a lot of flavour for your dollar. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 22, 2009
Bottle, a slight haze to the golden pour, no head. Sweetish malt on the note, a whiff of floral hops. A harsh earthy palate, with sweet malt, and a dry bite to the finish. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2008
(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden with a dense, creamy and very white head leaving some lacework. Discreet, flowery aroma. Light-bodied with lightly sweet malts and a dry, hoppy finish. The beer has a metallic edge and a vague acidity. 200208 Plimmer (252) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2008
Pretty light and a little bit hazy. Short head. A little fizzy/champagne-like. Relatively short finish. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 24, 2006
Sweet malty aroma, strong malty tatse. Bight golden colour with small white head. Is created to meet typical macro swill and is a sboring as such.
