zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 14, 2009
Purchased 01.07.09 at New World Frankton, NZ, 500ml bottle. Pours pale gold, thin off white head. Aroma is hoppy (white grapes scent which is rather odd). Flavor is malty and white grapes/white wine, probably because of the type of hops (?). Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, pale golden with a tall, handsome, dense head that leaves some laces (but is this really supposed to be hazy? BB is 10.08.08, but I wonder if it has been light struck in the green bottle). Anyways, this has the most wonderful flower aroma from the Nelson hops. A little watery in the body with lightly sweet malts that are perfectly balanced from the lovely, floral hop accents. A very pleasant, malty Pilsener with some personality. 260108 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 6, 2008
Bottle, pours a simple gold colour, not clear though, with a fine white head. Strong hop aroma, with sweet summer fruits, but with a touch of that sulpher yalnikim mentions. A good lager palate, clean with a mellow dryness. A juicy malt background to the flavour, with the citrus hops giving away to a butteryness in the finish. Highly drinkable. Light golden amber and a thin, well built head. Great hop treatment; cuts ferns, resiny, piney, very expressive. Nice aniseed touches as well. Long broad finish. bozoNZ (778) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 27, 2007
Sweaty, slightly spiced aroma. Clear bright yellow. Low head. Nice malt flavours but underhopped and lacks appropriate bitterness and other usual characteristics.

Nice spicy hop aroma. Clear gold with a white head. Grainy, malty, spicy flavor. Slightly sweet finish. Well balanced bitterness. yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 18, 2006
Tasted 16/05/2006. 330ml bottle from Miramar Liquorland.
Pale gold, vry slight haze, with a thick white collar of foam that diminishes but laces quite well. Tropical kiwi hops, barley sugars and a very mild sulphuric yeast hint on the nose. Sweet lager malt and prickly hops dominate the mouth, with another tiny hint of the yeast, then a whack a lemon and grass in the strongly bitter finish. A touch of metal in there too, a common theme from Harringtons. More yeast in the aftertaste. Light side of medium in the mouth, with a balanced carbonation. Could be quite good, if tried a little fresher. Kaya161 (1139) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 28, 2002
Golden-yellow colour. COntinental hop aroma (although it is brewed with Nelson hops). Fairly dry flavour but also reasonably creamy. Not as dry or bitter as I like my pilseners, but a decent attempt.
