2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
’twas okay, nice chocomalts are the main thing i get from this, and a bit of typical esb fruitiness up top. no all that complex and rather thin, but not a bad effort.
Soft and creamy on the palate which is not what I was expecting. Said "generous hops" however dominated by the malt. chinchill (5161) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Pours clear reddish brown with a good head.
Feel: Medium body and nicely smooth, with crisp medium carbonation; dry finish.
Aroma: caramel and medium roasted malts with a hint of fruit; simple but good..
Flavor: toffee + bready malts and a hint of hops. Slightly bitter but nicely balanced finish.
O: easy drinking and recommended.

Clean bitterness, quite fizzy out of the bottle but made it very refreshing on a hot day, quite hoppy for the style but not over the top

Draft at the source. Clear amber color, solid white head. Aroma of light caramel. Taste is sweet toasted caramel. Thylacine (526) - Tasmania, AUSTRALIA - DEC 2, 2012
Had to drink from bottle so hard to judge appearance. . Medium carbonation and body. Caramel malts. Citrus. Medium bitterness. KeefOz (1875) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - OCT 30, 2012
Poured a translucent coppery brown colour with a one- to two-finger light tan head that retained well and laced well. Moderate carbonation. Aroma of malt but strongly of roasted grain. Taste of sweet malt and roasted grain followed by hops bitterness. Not a bitter beer as it is sweeter than it is bitter. Light to medium body. Short smooth, sweet and slightly bitter finish. Different to what a "bitter" beer ’should’ be - enjoyable. Cantabrian (1151) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 15, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2012 Rather cautious, I was expecting this beer to gut me with bitterness, like a ferocious pig would to a horse. But this was not bad at all! Great appearance, pouring dark amber, with a generous head, although it disappears rather quickly. Malty nose and malty taste. No boar taint or bacon smokiness. The bitterness is there, but perhaps not enough to make it premium. Very pleasant though. More sweet than bitter. Nice call. hawthorne00 (4030) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle, 11C (bottle advises to serve at room temp _and_ at 4-6C), better as it warmed. Clear brown with an off white head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and nuts. A little watery and rather overcarbonated for this sort of thing. Modest sweetness with some toffee, a little chocolate and nuts. Balancing grassy bitterness with some cocoa. Malty nose and lacks hops, dark with a dry finish had high carbonation neither a here nor the beer
