Bottle 330ml. Great lager. Aromas of honey, butter, caramel, and a hint of alcohol. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Dark yellow, with a thin head. joergen (28148) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2010

6 Lovely fruity aroma, peachy, some gentle bready grains too.
3 Rich gold, small white tight head.
7 Sweet fruity retronasals, peachy again, some milky grains, and a metric buttload of sweet fruity hops.
4 Crisp palate, refreshing carbonation. Wow, what a finish, this has both noble bitter hops, noticable paperiness too, and tons of fruity new world hops.
13 There was some indication of the strength of the beer in the first sip, but once you’ve got the taste of hops on your tongue, you’ll not notice that at all any more. Great full-flavoured strong pilsner. I’d feel tempted to session this on a hot day.
Definitely strong ale in style complete with funky pongy malt character that you sometimes see in the classic English styles. Takes a little getting used to actually as the funkiness borders on being fault-like (kinda like oxidisation in wine I guess). Makes for a distinctive beer at the very least. Yellow-gold with a soft, pillowy white head and obvious carbonation. The aromas aren’t very forthright, but what there is malt driven, slightly skunky but not so that it is off-putting. The flavour is tangy, like tangerines but not mouthwringingly sour. The hops come through with a soft bitterness toward the middle of the tasting while the tongue bubbles and is tantalised by mouthfeel. This is a beer that I’m glad I took a chance on (as there was an Emerson’s Bookbinder sitting near it that was beckoning). The finish is tangy and lovely (like a favourite niece) long after the event of imbibing. Excellent stuff.

Bottled. A golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of hops, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2010

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Malty nose with some perfumy hops. Medium body, good and solid malt bill with some alcohol showing in the finish. A good strong lager. 121010 jonno (2761) - JAPAN - APR 9, 2011
Solid if uninspired. Could describe any beer I have had from Harrington’s, bar the Big John. The strongman mine is a great back story. Very much a Belgian inspired strong pils with a full body, but without any particular flavour jumping out to grab you. A touch phenolic, but very straight forward.
