Cask conditioned at Birmingham Beer Fest ’13. Chestnut with ruby hue and off white head. A rich, smooth beer, quite like a ruby mild in character, silky chocolate malt notes nicely amalgamated with the other flavours. There is a late fruity, fructose sweetness. A very pleasant beer. leaparsons (10546) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown with red tints and a bubbly foam. Aromas are earthy and medicinal with raisins and roast malts. Chocolate with spices and traces of banana. Flavours are sweet and malty with raisins and berries. Bready yeast with xmas pudding. Quite warming and boozy. A nice winter brew.
