Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask conditioned at Leicester Beer Festival ’15. Dark brown with cream head. There was an over simple malty bitterness to this, some dark roasted malt notes, a little thin on the palate. There is a bitter, dry finish. A little underwhelming. 47574xeCD (1182) - Coventry, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2015
