COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A very dark beer, as unique as the tradition that created it. Choice aromatic hops, black malt and crystal-clear mountain spring water give this dark beer its distinctive, nutty flavour. The time-tested historic recipe, the classic brewing method and the secret of just enough extra hops make Hartmann’s Erbschänk 1550 a satisfying full-bodied beer.

.5l bottle in Stuttgart. Pours brown with light head. Not as dark as the Dunkels. Nutty aroma, smooth first taist with spices. 4-5 swallow reveals the hops which is quite strong and not expected from a German Brown. Very good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected] Svart vätska med kaffebrunt skum. Dofter av blöt säd och lite bröd. Bra balans i beskan. Extra plus i kanten för att den saknar bränt kaffe-inslag.

110ml draught at Taphouse Copenhagen. Spotty lacing from a tiny beige head. Clear mahogany coloured body. Plain roasted malts on the nose. Caramel malty flavours, roasted coffee as well. Noble hop bitterness to the ending. Clean in the mouth. Nice (Copenhagen 30.11.2014).
