Bottle sample at Calgary beer fest. Clear amber color, white head. Nice floral aroma. Taste is not too bitter for a DIPA. jake65 (3626) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Bottle: Dark copper/amber pour with a large sandy head. Nose is floral, herbal, and pine. Hints of a malty sweetness, but mosty hops. Taste is mostly floral hops, but there is a strong herbal and earthy presence... reminds me of rye. Sort of a dirty IPA. Iíve had this a few times now, as itís fairly common in eastern MT, but itís no world beater. BeerandBlues2 (13210) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Pours clear orange with a medium, fizzy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine and citrus hops, biscuit and toast malt with peach and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and medium bitterness, medium fruity esters, sweet malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle pours a hazy amber color with a thin off white top. Scent is malty, tea and grass. Taste caramel, bread with earthiness and a tangy, grainy finish. Meh AWISLguy (3046) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Bottle from Brennans. Pours a brandy colored brownish-orange. Somewhat of an off-white head leaving some drops of lace. Aroma has sweet caramel, fruit and brandy. Taste is of spices (mostly cardamon), caramel, some herbs with a slightly metallic note. Buttery and herbal. Not sure what this is, but not very "ipa"ish. Finishes sweet and spicy, fairly short.

Bottle. Medium orange amber. Hoppy nose, grassy and lightly floral. Astringent hop bitterness on the palate combined with low aromatics makes for a lackluster drinking experience. Not terrible, but not one Iíd reach for again. riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Nose of doughy grainy malt, alcohol, earthy peppery hops with a hint of white grape and dirt as well. Pours hazy golden orange, creamy white head. Flavors of dough, grain, dirt, white grape, peppery notes, alcohol. Mildly hop acidic bitter finish. Not bad, but not a standout in any way. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 23, 2012
355mL thanks to nuplastikk. Pours a clear deeper amber orange. Dense yellow head. Good retention. Good lacing. Nose is detergent, lemon, wort, wheat cracker. Taste is honey, wheat cracker, bread, spice. Fairy raw, rustic, bitter. A tad chemical and papery. Decent. Malt forward. In fact, so malt forward and rustic I would place this as Biere de Garde. 6/4/7/3/13=3.3 Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Bottled. Poured medium orange with a short, dense beige head. The aroma picked up mostly buttery notes with some caramel.. topped by light herbal hoppage.. very malty overall, and not good malts. The flavor found similar stuff.. buttery notes, caramel, and lesser biscuity malts at the core with sharp metallic notes and herbal bitterness around.. finished with more of the sharp stuff and some warm alcohol. Medium-bodied and rough through the palate.. this was either old, not good, or some combo of the two. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 20, 2012
Big beer that should be avoided or enjoyed with a large sample. First taste almost turns you off. A big harsh herbal hop. If you give it at least a full bottle you can appreciate the balance of sharp strong hops, delicate malt balance and agressive alcohol note. A malt liquor for the IPA connosoir. Excuse the spelling but the spell check has the night off.
