Our award winning dark ale which is an original London style, lighter in body than a stout but with the same alcohol content. Brewed with pale, crystal, chocolate and black malts to create a creamy, smooth, roasted, slightly chocolate tasting ale with a bit of hoppiness in the finish. The name comes from the fact that after brewing, the mash is given to a local farmer and there can't be anything better than spent grain from brewing for fattening up a pig.

12 oz bottle in Silver Gate, MT near Yellowstone NP. Opaque black brown body topped by a thick creamy beige colored head. Excellent retention. Slightly boozy aroma with hints of molasses. Mild-moderate bitterness with strong flavor. Smooth full body with medium carbonation.

This brew has a bit of malt and a little bitter chocolate taste to it. Its by far the best porter Ive ever had. It has a thin mouth feel to it. I was hoping for better but at least their label is pretty cool.

good 1" tan head.. nice lacing and cap atop a dark dark brown brew. Dark malts.. minor dark fruits.. some descent cocoa and restrained dark malts... tastes "brown".. Reminds me of Anchor porter.

From bottle, the pour is dark brown but light does permeate the beer making in a dark amber in color , it has a brown head that thins shortly after the pour. The aroma is smokey, a little spice and roasted malts. The taste is smoke, but not overpowering. I get a little fish oil, and roasted malts are the backbone of the flavors. The mouthfeel is thin with a finish that is soy sauce and smoke.

Taste: deep toasted, chocolate malt, semi sweet, toffee, smokey bacon notes with a roasted coffee nose. Very dark brown, clear, with a smaller tan head, not much lace. Medium/Full body

Dark brown color with a moderate light tan head. Very light aromas with some hints of cocoa, very mild roast malt and bit of herbal hops. Mild and mellow in flavor. Just a some light pale malt and touch of roasted malt. Easy to drink, almost in a water type way. Not sure if this would sustain me during a hard days labor.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours an opaque cola brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt. Flavors of leather and tobacco. Smooth, clean finish.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall pure brown head. Aroma of rich chocolate, roasted malt, lactose, cream and a good dose of caramel and nuts - strong! Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty flavour of hazlenuts, earth, milk, cream, lactose and even some dry grain noticeable. Aftertaste shows some depth with the caramel and sweetness alongside the bitter nutty and malt flavours - not much aside from that, however. Overall, a good porter and one that shows the roasted malt and earthiness expected from the style, but lacks a touch in complexity and depth. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from my coworker, Randy, on 27-October-2015 for US$9,99/six pack from a grocery Store in Great Falls, Montana sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 24-April-2016.

Pours a dark brown with a small tan head and some lacing. Smell is of cocoa, malt, and a touch of coffee. Taste is of dry, cocoa, malt, and a little dark fruit. Ends a tad bitter.
