This gluten free IPA tastes just like IPA’s I used to drink that were made from barley. I did a double take to make sure it was truly gluten free. A plus for those who need to be gluten free - it is a dedicated gluten-free facility, which for me, is a must.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured gold with a white head that faded quickly and left light lacing. Nose off citrus. Medium in body. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is big on citrus and some honey. Some nuts appear as ti warms. Lot of bitterness in flavor and finish. Another good GF beer from the brewer. Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This beer poured hazy golden and had a fairly big white head. That foam left blotches of lacing as it fell. Some citrus in the aroma with a little caramel. The taste was mostly citrus with a hint of honey. Malts were definitely secondary. Something was tasted under that and perhaps it was the sorghum. Golden and has etched surface of fine whites. Smelled nice and hoppy in the bottle, but as soon as it hit the glass an overbearing plastic smell, some body odor hops and a little rice. Taste is sharp, kinda chemical, plastic, some soyonnaise, not good. Medium bodied with tight, slightly hi carb and a dry finish. Appearance is light orange amber in color supporting a healthy head leaving fair lace. Smell has a medicinal aroma with light hops in the back. Taste has the sweetness of the base ingredients balanced with the hops. Mouthfeel is light medium with good carbonation. Considering that it’s GF and my first, I have nothing to relate it to, but it’s not to bad.

pours a semi-hazy light yellow with a very small white head, and okay lacing.
smell is of fruit juice, some citrus, and grass.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2013 Golden pour, substantial head, and a pretty nice hop aroma with pine and floral notes. So nice to breath in an IPA after so long. Taste is hop forward, and bitterness is medium high. Grain flavors are in the background, appropriate for the style. Hop character is uninteresting and seems confused or unfocused. Finish is bitter, and too harsh on the palate. 650ml bottle. Hazy golden pout large fizzy off-white head. Smell is vegetal, crisp herbal grassiness, slight hint of fruits. The flavor has a medium to lo bitterness, sorghum, medicinal, citrus pith, fruitiness. I’ve been gluten-free for about a year now, having been a very avid beer drinker, and this is the first thing I’ve had since then that tastes like something more than a good try. It tastes like real beer, and I’ll rate it as such. Pours dark gold, slightly cloudy, champagne-like carbonation, thin layer of white foam. Aroma is deeply resinous, some citrus, a bit of a sharp vegetal aroma at the borders that fades with time, a brush of floral aromas develops after a while in the glass. Taste is slight sweetness, a bit savory maltiness/earthiness, and a bright, assertive bitterness. Medium body with slightly oily mouthfeel. The only ways this differs from a malt beer are subtle - the faint but sharp vegetal component in the aroma (something I’ve noticed in Harvester’s other beers), a lack of head (which matters little), and a slightly oily mouthfeel - probably from the use of oats. It lacks the thin, cidery character of most gf beers. Overall, this is in my opinion the beer for gluten-sensitive and celiac beer lovers to try. Decidedly an American IPA, incidentally gluten-free.
