Ferris (16300) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 10, 2017
Draft - Sweet candied yuzu. Deep cloudy copper with a decent white head. Light citrus and malty notes. Not as bright as the nose, sweet and pleasant, but not a geeks drink.

KansaiBeerLvrs (5305) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 16, 2015
Harvestmoon’s Yuzu Ale pours a much darker than expected amber-brown with a light beige head. The nose is a sweet candyish yuzu that evokes lemon drops. Full on fresh yuzu aroma which I like. Light bodied with a sharp carbonation. The taste is caramel & candied yuzu making it too sweet for me. Pair with desert or something to cut the sweetness. I do like the dry lemon tonic refreshing finish. An odd beer, I think I’d like it better with a lighter more neutral malt base.

Sledutah (7792) - Utah, USA - JUN 1, 2014
330ml bottle picked up at the brewpub
Pours clear amber with a small off-white head, no lacing. Aroma pit fruit, caramel and citrus. Taste is light caramel, fruity, berries and mild bitterness in the finish
A decent beer, different.

shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 11, 2013
Tap at Shibuya Beer Terminal festival. Darker than I would have thought. Brown golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is caramel and citrus. Quite unusual. Taste is similar, citrus to the front, but caramel sweetness coming up behind. Pretty weird, pretty nice.

Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 2, 2013
Draught at Craft heads, Shibuya. Clear amber - white head. Citrus. Zesty. Juzu. Light caramel. Fruity. Sweet notes. Light perfumed juzu. Light berries. Gin/Tonic.

KyotoLefty (10611) - Kyoto, JAPAN - FEB 9, 2010
Tap at Q-Brick. Dark reddish amber with just a bit of lace. Pretty, glowing. Aroma of yuzu and freshly cut grass. Citrus hops. Nice nose. Yuzu big and dominant in the mouth. Too dominant. All that’s left is a bit of caramel. Somewhat flat, lackluster palate. A bit boring. Doesn’t live up to the nice nose.

mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2009
[2252-20090606] Sample. Earthy mushroom dirt aroma has an odd floral note. Hazy, dark amber orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. More mushroom dirt in the flavour with some smoky floral notes. Medium body. Very drinkable.

blankboy (7788) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 21, 2009
Bottle at ’Mondial de la Biere 2009’, Montréal, QC. Pours a cloudy copper-orange with an average size off-white head. Aroma and flavour of a Pale Ale that is slightly tart, fruity and a bit spicy. Average bodied. Great beer!

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 16, 2009
A dark amber ale with a thjin light moka head. A pleasant caramel malt aroma with herbal hops, quite nice. In mouth, a biscuitty malt, nutty with light lemony notes. Medium bodied. Bottle at Mondiale 2009.

Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2009
bottle at Mondial 2009. Tried a couple different Yuzu ales to try to figure out this fruit. Kinda like a lemon lime cross? THis is a slightly hazy medium coppery orange with a nice soapy white head. Aroma is citrusy kafir lime leaf, lemon zest, alligator pepper- lemon with spice, doughy crackery wheat. Flavor is more citrus, light sea salt, moderate caramel malts, overall light- crackery with some lemongrass as well- slight earthiness. Finish is light and refreshing- pretty good.
