Christmas Ale’s popularity made it difficult to restrict its availability to just the Festive Season. Fortunately, the high alcohol level enables us to brew enough to last most of the year so enthusiasts can be kept happy all year round.

It is heavily hopped, dark and strong, like Christmas Pudding in a glass!

Contains: Barley and Oats.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber to brown with no head. Smooth and fruity hoppy aroma with a sweet caramel malt and breadish base. Flavour follows this closely and is rather sweet. Nicely spiced and lingering breadish sweet into the finish. Full bodied.

Ungstrup (37677) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 15, 2004
The aroma is lovely; sweet with notes of caramel, cloves, and bread. The color is a deep red and it has a small though disappearing beige head. The flavor is sweet too with notes of caramel, yeast, roasted bread, and alcohol running over the tongue. The end is slightly bitter.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, small head. Floral resinous caramelly nose. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Woody resinous caramel. Deep malt character. Really bitter finish.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 12, 2008
Bottle 27,5 cl. Clear, dark red beer with a small, off-white head. Aroma dominated by overripe fruit and licorice. Quite full-bodied, low in carbonation, again overripe fruit accents - prunes and raisins - and roasted malts. Some alcohol in the finish. Quite yummy. 121208
