Cask at the Royal Oak, Borough. It pours clear deepish amber with a small, bubbly white head. The nose is earthy, bitter-sweet, cereal, spicy action, toffee, dusty basement, apple pie and clove rock. The taste is bitter, wood, grassy notes, spicy hops, caramel, cereal, wheaten bread, banana bread and apple with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Way better than the bottled version.
