Bottle. Brown sugar, raisin, caramel malt, hay, and alcohol aroma. Cloudy brown with minimal head. Very sweet brown sugar, raisin, caramel malt, and moderately bitter alcohol/hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Very nice. BeardedAvenger (1328) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2017
Takeaway bottle from Royal Oak, Borough. Musky fruit aroma. Stewed fruits, honey and booze. A ruby tinged amber. No head. Medium bitter. The booze hits and then takes control. Light bodied. Watery although it does leave a slick mouthfeel. Long but low key finish. Provided that warming sensation that I appreciate in a barley wine, but in terms of taste and palate is somewhat one dimensional. rodenbach99 (4571) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - APR 10, 2017
Bouteille. Une robe cuivrée avec une mousse blanche. Un nez agréable de toffee, caramel. Une bouche tendre avec du toffee avec un mordantde houblons modernes. Peu complexe mais fort agréable. La petite touche amère en fin de bouche est à sa place. J’aime.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2017 Pours a clear dirty gold with no head. Aroma is of candies, dark fruit and molasses. Taste is malt and a hint of dark fruit and molasses with a little booze hidden in the end. Pretty good overall. thejackpacker (764) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - MAR 6, 2017
Bottle from the brewery. A sweet & bitter taste combining to make a perfectly drinkable beer despite the high abv. Very flat and slightly characterless however. bartlebier (4242) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - MAR 5, 2017
275ml merci BeardedAvenger. - Introduces high-density dried fruits, candy and toffee to a boozy aroma profile reminiscent of Belgian tripel: bit sweet, apricot liqueur, Jaffy cakes, earthy dried orange. Within style, but with that malty density and at a mere 7,5% a definite sipper. Bill Becker (2050) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 4, 2016
A- slowly forming head of foam after the pour, at its max less than an inch and that fades quickly.
