50 cL bottle, 6 year old vintage. Pours slight hazy brown with a lacing off-white head. Wineous aroma. Full bodied. Flavour is dense caramel malt with solid overripe fruit notes. Smooth finish with a nice chocolate and fruity mix. Utterly well hidden alcohol.

A red beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet caramel with notes of hops, oil, and grass. The flavor is of grass and hops and the end is very bitter. A lovely beer.

Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, clear, reddish brown with a dense, retentive, beige head. Vinous, lightly tart malt aroma. Full-bodied with sweetish, dark malts. Some notes of nuts and a somewhat rustic, fusty edge with a vague tartness. The hops are discreet yet still very much present. Charming in a somewhat old fashioned way. 240107
