"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrcker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

onceblind (8450) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 25, 2012
Transparent light golden with a thin bubbly white head. Zesty hoppy aroma kinda like an assertive pilsner, grassy and slightly lemony with just a hint of toffee. Lively and even carbonation with a full flavored palate, nice peppery and zesty hop tones, a slight grassy leafiness, a little lemon rind, and some pale golden malt grains. Classy and original golden ale.

rodsquad (115) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2017
Bottle from coop. Pours clear light copper-gold with thin off-white head. Aromas of marmalade, caramel malt and green apple peel. Taste is light, refreshing bitter hop like a dash of grapefruit with a smooth, syrupy malt. Nice soft initial mouthfeel that produces a light body with gentle carbonation. A little oily on the lips. Overall this is a lovely light and refreshing ale that balances it sweet malt and citrus tang hop just right.

Bottle 0.33L. Clear deep golden body with a small, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing; low density of tiny particles. Moderate hoppy (citrus, herbal) and light-to-moderate malty (grains) aroma with notes of fruits. Light-to-moderate bitter and sweet flavour; short balanced finish; overall watery feeling. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; soft carbonation.

uckelman (725) - Durham, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2016
Pours clear, golden. Big white head. Aroma is grassy and vaguely citrus. Medium body. Meidum-strong bitterness. Crisp finish. Reminds me of a fuller-bodied version of many German beers.

Light clear yellow brown with mouldy head. Not much aroma. Hoppy but not unduly bitter. Oily. Nothing very remarkable.

Towey1989 (2234) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2016
Keg at Georges, Nottingham. A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of grain, light caramel, a hint of lemon and subtle floral hops. Taste of grain, light caramel, slight honey, a little lemon and subtle floral hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A soft, dry, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Quite a standard golden ale, little on the malty side at first with citrus and a soft bitterness at the end. Nothing special but refreshing.

chinchill (4634) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 15, 2016
undated 500ml bottle served in a standard pint glass (from notes). [Revised with serving on tap in Edinburgh in August 2016]. Pours a hazy, medium-light amber with very little head. What little head there is is short-lived, leaving but a ring. Eventually, some sediment accrues on the bottom of the glass. {better looking on tap]. Bready, grassy, floral and fruity aroma; there is a clear contribution of malts. Although called Bitter & Twisted, this beer is only very mildly bitter. It is flavorful, with a mix of sweet pale malt, tangy fruit, some hops and hints of butter and lemon. The hops come through, weakly, in the tart and fruity finish. Nice semi-dry, nearly dry, feel, with a medium-light body bordering on watery. Smooth. O - enjoyed this more than my description seems to indicate.
