"Bottled with approximately 1/3rd less Carbon Dioxide than most beers. This results in a fresher more natural tasting beer. Combines Hallertau Hersbrücker with Challenger. Late hopped with Styrian Goldings, which gives a sharpness like the twist of a lemon."

Poured into a pint glass. Straw colored and transparent. Almost a finger of head. Great lacing all the way down the glass. Lots of bubbles visible. A big mix of malt and hops on the nose. Rich malt smell, a background of lemon and grapefruit. Light tasting, almost watery at the beginning, moves to a clean maltiness, then a pointed bitter and lemon taste at the end. Soft texture, medium body, low carbonation. This is an enigma of a beer. The smell made me think I was in for a powerful malt bomb. A really subtle taste, but still flavorful and dynamic. And you can throw them back without worry at AVB 4.2%

Pleasant golden brown appearance - clear with moderate carbonation. Nice hoppy aroma - citrus hops with an underlying yest / dough smell. Lovely balanced flavour - moderate bitterness at the forefront but with a sweetness (not overly so) following. Lovely.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2017 Clear golden colour, little head. Very citrusy, lemon and maybe even orange there, which makes it very refreshing in the nose. Maybe a bit yeasty and sulphury. Flavour is bitter and citrusy, also a bit acidic and astringent, maybe some artificial lemon taste. Not bad but not great.

rodsquad (225) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2017
Bottle from coop. Pours clear light copper-gold with thin off-white head. Aromas of marmalade, caramel malt and green apple peel. Taste is light, refreshing bitter hop like a dash of grapefruit with a smooth, syrupy malt. Nice soft initial mouthfeel that produces a light body with gentle carbonation. A little oily on the lips. Overall this is a lovely light and refreshing ale that balances it sweet malt and citrus tang hop just right.
