Cask at the market porter with alex and mes. Alround rating: Great grapefuriy citrusy hop character, solid biscuity sweet pale malt base, juicey, super drinkable. One of the best from harviestoun. fiulijn (20515) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 8, 2009

Amber color; big head. Light aroma, creamy, some caramel. Caramel flavor, good, not sweet; strong bitterness, with some hop oils; the final is bold, with caramel too. The bottled version doesn’t have much of the cask version, it’s just a pleasant Bitter.

Amber color; thin frothy head. Nice malt and earthy hop aroma. Mellow caramel favor, with a wonderful fruity hop, a bit citrusy. Well balanced. There are not many words, but it’s a wonderful beer.
Fantastic hoppy aroma, lots of citrus.
Fine body, bread, lemon, grass. Pepper.
This is a very welcome addition to their range.
But it would probably have been better as a summer beer if it has to be seasonal.
Considering the alcohol content, this should make other brewers sit up and notice. Could we have some of those in Norwegian supermarkets, please? Nightfall (1307) - Hamburg, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2008

Bottled. Hazy amber, rich creamy head. Grapefruity nose with some caramel underneath. Light-medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Freshly citric, nicely hoppy, balanced late bitterness. Lovely, very drinkable ale!

Pours deep red, almost brown. Aromas of spices, cherries, grapes and rich malts. Lighter body with a spicy taste of malts and flavours of red berries, almost a bit vinous. Very peculiar hoppines in this one. Slightly sweet with a soft long finish. I found it great!
On tap at Geordies byre in Ayr a clean crisp beer with nice malt hop balance lemon and grapefruit prominent with slightly spicy notes smooth drinking slightly bitter finish MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2008
A Mes rate. Cask at the Market Porter. Dark gold with a slight white rim. Good bitterness that balances out really well with some gorgeous lightly sweet caramel malt. Glorious bittersweet finish carries on the theme. Just right on the palate. Harviestoun keep bringing out good beer and this is no exception. cgarvieuk (24515) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 2, 2009
cask in Berts edinburgh ... copper ... sweet pine resin nose ... very sweet toffee fruity malts ... very smooth... big citrus hop background andersand (529) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2009
Clear copper with a small nice off-white head that leaves great lazings on my pintglass. Aroma is hoppy grassy on top of a bready caramell toffe foundation. Flavour is exotic fruits and chewy hops, a bit thin in flavour but still very nice with a good hop bite in the ending. Drinkable and well balanced.
