COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

A good British porter is always a treat, so I was delighted to pick up a can of this beer. Pours black and smooth, with limited lacing on the glass. Aroma was of caramel with a hint of sweetness. Taste was chocolate with a bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Not one I'd recommend, based on my expectation of the style.

Pours dark black with a thin tan head and thick lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, ash, candied orange, plum and mint. Taste is sweet with a medium bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel but a touch thin. Another 1% on the ABV and this would be very decent, just falls a little short.

lokis333 (563) - Biržai, LITHUANIA - SEP 15, 2017
Jet black colour with decent frothy brown foam. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee with milky notes and a touch of sweet dried fruit like figs and plums as well as a slight earthy touch. Palate, full body with smooth creamy texture leaving slight bitter finish. Taste bitter of chocolate, and coffee with a touch of cocoa. Overall, the nice rich texture just could be a tad thicker but none the less still an awesome beer.

Mortlach (2490) - Rome, ITALY - SEP 13, 2017
Bottle @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma cappuccino leggera. Corpo medio, carbonazione leggera. Gran bella birra.

Dark, bitter beer with chocolate in the palate. Good taste on the tongue, with a punchy bitterness on the palate following on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0,33L. Pours black color with a finger of smooth, creamy, light brown head, that leave excellent lacing. Aroma of strong dark coffee, roasted malts, caramel and smoke.Taste starts light sweet, rich and smooth, slightly chocolaty and moves on to a bitter finish with rich taste of black coffee and dark chocolate. Medium to full body, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very good beer!
