COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Malty roasty toasty goodness and while not as viscous, it does look a damn lot like engine oil in the glass. I like this one!

Pours pitch black with a medium, yet quickly diminishing off-white top. Strong bitter aroma upfront, yet roasted barley and coffee aromas kick in right after the first sensation. Taste is very full, oily, grand rexture of bitterness upfront quickly givws way to a strong chocholate presence. Dry finish, smooth aftertaste. An awesome beer.

Pours black, beige head, slippery lace. Nose is smokey cocoa, robust and fresh.... Very inviting. Creamy and rich, slight bite towards the end. Chocolate, lactose, dark fruits, raisin, spice and wood. Complex and delightful. Tons of flavor for the abv.

Pours a deep brown with a medium tan head. The nose is extremely roasted with strong compliment of coffee, chocolate, subtle licorice, and hints of smoke. The taste is moderately bitter and mostly dry. Flavor is plenty roasted as the aroma was suggesting. Underneath is chocolate, coffee, caramel, raisin and a little bit of earthiness. A long and lingering aftertaste is coffee and raisin. Medium body, chewy in texture, and softer in carbonation. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown with beige head. Tastes like a combination of a porter and an old ale, big dark fruits, vinous fruits, liquorice, dark chocolate, dark coffee. Light carbonation, well balanced, smooth body.

Bottle 0.33L. Dark brown-to-black body with a large, creamy, tan head, mostly lasting with some lacing. Moderate malty (toasted) aroma with notes of coffee, licorice, nuts and light red fruits; notes of coffee become more intense when the beer warms up a bit. Moderate bitter and sweet flavour with a long-lasting round finish. Full body with oily-to-creamy texture; soft carbonation. Nice one!

From 330ml can. Pours jet black with a creamy tan head. Lots of nice roasted aromas- malts, coffee, waft of sweetness. Tastes of espresso, chocolates, roasted nuts balanced nicely with just enough bitterness. Full bodied, rich texture.
