Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Not sweet but by no means bitter either. Dark chocolate with some pleasant coffee notes, very mild smokeyness. I would give this a higher rating but its not that complex, does well at what it is.

colui72 (1118) - HONG KONG - NOV 30, 2017
Pours translucent dark brown, black in the glass, looks quite thin, nice creamy beige head that laces excellently. Aroma has some tartness, dark malts, strong oats. Tastes roasted-bitter, oats still strong, roasted barley, some note of chocolate and coffee. Stronger dark chocolate in the after taste. Quite thin, easy to drink, softly carbonated, very straight forward typical porter. Nice and enjoyable.

Marrón muy oscuro. Notas de cacao oscuro y café. Toques de malta tostada. Buen cuerpo. Intenso amargor.

Pours a nice near black from a bottle. Big roasted malt aroma, hint of chocolate. Flavor is a bitter cola, again chocolate, finishes dry and bitter. Okay beer.

Can @ home. Dark brown to black colour with a medium sized light brown head. Smells roasty, chocolate. Tastes roasty, chocolate, coffee, hint of vanilla, chocolate bitterness, dark malts. Very nice beer. Great balance, medium body and soft carbo.

drmet (1036) - GERMANY - OCT 26, 2017
-pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a small to medium, foamy, beige head
-very sweet sugar upfront,plums,raisins,oats,coffee,cola,bitter finish
-medium carbonation
-light to medium body
Very similar to a Sweet Stout.
I usually don't like Sweet Stouts, but this has enough bitterniss to balance out the high sweetness.

Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoljub. Shared with Max, JFK10000, Simon. Pours black with beige head. Roasted malts, dried fruit, chocolate, sweetish. Dry bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

A good British porter is always a treat, so I was delighted to pick up a can of this beer. Pours black and smooth, with limited lacing on the glass. Aroma was of caramel with a hint of sweetness. Taste was chocolate with a bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Not one I'd recommend, based on my expectation of the style.

GregMooreNH (165) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 15, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2017 Pours black with foamy head. Aroma is deep chocolate. Flavor starts as chocolate, but quickly transforms into a bitty hoppiness, reminiscent of an IPA. Bitter flavor lingers through finish. Not what I was expecting.
