Had at Glunz Global Beer Expo XIX. Poured black with a tan head that dissipates to nothing. Had aromas of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. A strong roastiness comes through on the tongue. Was very sweet as well, and had a decent amount of bitterness on the end. Medium bodied beer, and left a strong dark chocolate aftertaste. Very good.

Bottle, 330 ml, from Pivoljub. Pours dark brown, medium beige head. Roasted, malty, lots of chocolate, sweet, some fruity notes, some caramel, bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle at Maruho, six months till expiration, not sure when bottled. Pours an oil black, no head, cola highlights. Aroma is rich and roasty malts, dark chocolate, savory. Flavour of cacao, molasses, dark fruits, perhaps prune or date lurking, really rich and delicious as it warms. Has a syrupy viscosity in the feel, nice second half carbonation to carry it over the palate. An older bottle, perhaps the booze had smoothed out a bit, this was very balanced and showed some good depth in flavour.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, notes of wood and dried fruits with subdued hop presence. Rather dry roasty finish. Very good one.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Rich, roasty, dark malty and dark fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of blueberry, blackberry, hints of plum and cherry, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, some coffee and liquorice. Taste slightly dry, is roasty dark malty with some residual, chocolately malty sweetness, dark fruity hoppy and minimally alcoholic, notes of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, blueberry, blackberry, a touch of plum and cherry; full body, smooth and soft palate. Superbly balanced, rich and simultaneously rather easy drinkable

Bottled 330ml (Gonzo, BB 07/2018)
Opaque colour, good creamy brownish head and lace. Toasted malty aroma with dark chocolate. Quite dry, even dry hayish. Medium-bodied. Toasted malty, chocolaty, a bit lactic even. Milk stoutish. Interesting variation of the classic.
