Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in July 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear dark copper red in colour with a thin buff head. Slight hint of ribena fruit in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Mixed malts give a digestive biscuit note laced with syrupy dates. Spicy hop resins gives a short bitter aftertaste. Finish is sweet with blackcurrants present in the mouth. A decent session ale. Pity Harviestoun cannot expand on this beer style. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2007
Cask Handpump at the Bitter Suite, Preston 16/06/2007
Fruity aroma. Bronze mid brown coloured and fruity with a slightly citrus flavour. Some dryness in a bitter finish. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2007
Orn Mor. Bitter, fruity malt. Easy drinking yet a bit basic an a tad one dimentional.
