tombyars (1776) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2012
First tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in March 2001. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale yellow in colour with a thin white head. Strong lemon zest in the long fruity aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt base gives a strong citric fruit flavour with lemons to the fore. Dry aromatic hop resins leaves a pithy bitter aftertaste. Finish is dry and astringent, more than Bitter &Twisted. A decent session bitter. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2006

Amber colour pale and hoppy. Slightly citrus flavoured lasting finish.
Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden.
Amber colour. Really flowery aroma. Malt sweet nose, rather light bodied. Pleasant light sparkling mouthfeel. Drier, resiny, very bitter finish. Hop juice!
