3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It didn’t quite have the assertive hop notes i the aroma from Simcoe and Citra that I would have liked, instead it was a really pleasant, hoppy enough sessionable (4.4%) beer, with a good biscuity smooth malt character holding up against the citrus notes. It was a great accompaniment to some American-style pulled pork & sweet potatoes with a hint of chilli.
Bottle at home. Pours golden amber, nose is orange and toffee, taste is dry, light fruit. john44 (3101) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2014
Bottle - Amber Gold in colour. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus, some lemon. Hoppy; earthy hops, spicy peppery hops. Moderately bitter citrus fruity throughout. Increasingly dry and bitter in the lingering finish. Refreshing. Very drinkable. Decent. dannyhound (1) - - DEC 29, 2013 does not count
I love this beer. After a week tasting as many beers as I could this was a real stand out. The citrus edge blends perfectly with the well balanced hops giving a easy slightly bitter orange taste that I have since sessioned on several occasions. Bottle from Tesco. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Very light carbonation. Nice lacing. Mild aroma of biscuit and orange. Clean, slightly fruity flavour with earth and shortbread notes. Safe and easy drinking. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. Nice but dull. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Bottled 14/12/13. A golden coloured beer with a bright white head and lace. Nice citrussy hops throughout. Good balancing malts. Quite zesty. Doesn’t get as big as you’d hope and you end up feeling a little cheated. Score 3.4

Cask ; Devon ; UK ; Hay,citrus and floral aroma ; Golden color with smaller head ; Lighter sweet and medium bitter taste ; Refreshing ; Bitter finish ; Pretty good. BlackHaddock (7346) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2013
500ml bottle shared with a mate during a random beer tasting evening on 15 Feb 2013.
As the name suggests this is a golden brew with hops ruling the flavours. Looked fine, clear and bright in both half pint glasses, each with a small white covering of bubbles.
The actual hop content gives a fairly strong citrus feel throughout: something I’m not too keen on. There are far too many golden citrus flavoured beers on the UK market although to be fair this is one of the better that I’ve tasted. joe19612 (2929) - camberley, Surrey, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2013
Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, plenty of fruit and hops in the aroma, the taste is bitter with fruit and hops with a dry bitter finish. PutneyP (1) - - DEC 7, 2012 does not count
Delightfully smooth, hop balance just right against the citrus and low carbonation makes for both session(4.4%) and broad range of food matching .
