Note: This beer was on sale at Reading beer festival 2012 as 5 Hop IPA. According to the brewer, it has never been marketed under that name.

A real international beer with US Cascade hops, Saaz from the Czech Republic, Tettnang & Hallertauer Hersbrucker from Germany, and English East Kent Goldings. A hoppy, citrusy, spicy ale with bite – a bit different to your usual pint!

[cask, Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh] Reasonably hazy golden orange pour with a decent white head. Interesting aroma, with some citrus and grassy hay. At the time of drinking, I didn’t realise it had that collection of hops in – accounts for the flavour, which is partly citrus, and slightly spicy, before leading into a long dry finish. Very nice [18022013]

Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Fest ’13. Hazy gold with slight head. Big fruity aroma, peachy then just a touch grainy, malty on drinking. The hops show through, quite citrusy, sharp, the body remains a touch thin perhaps but still pretty drinkable. Decent enough beer.

Cask at the White Rocks Hotel, Hastings as Hastings Pale Ale Amber with a loose cream head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass; light citrusy aroma; soft and grainy in the mouth with an orangey citrus flavour; then a dry grapefruity finish. Rather good.
