50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Light toasted caramelish and malty. No sweetness, light metallic and dry roasted. Vague bitter finish.

Ungstrup (37905) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2013
Bottled. A brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, bread. and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2013
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small off-white head. Sweet lightly roasted nose with a whiff of smoke. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet caramel and subtle roast with a nutty touch and a whiff of ashes. A discreet touch of hops in the finish. 040213

Koelschtrinker (20594) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 21, 2011
Herb-malziger Antrunk, sehr mild. 7/6/6/7/7/6

Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2009
Bottle, Marktstubn, Bamberg
Dark brown with a thick head. Toasty character is assertive with nice chocolate notes and a fairly nutty flourish in the dry finish. Some toffeeish notes add complexity. Toffee notes emerge as it warms. Nice brew.

TBone (17699) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2011
Bottled 500ml swing top (BB 10/2011)
Thanks bierkoning! Dark copper color, huge beige head. Dark malty, toasted aroma with hints of soya sauce and caramel. Light bodied. Some caramel, toasted malts, some late bitterness. Soft and dry. Very typical schwarzbier.

bierkoning (13392) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2011
Steinkrug @ Windfelder Stegaurach. Roast and a bit of beechwood in both aroma and flavor. Ash. Totally dry, yet with some malt character. Loads of character in this excellent beer.

kevnic2008 (12016) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2014
Dark malty smell with caramel. Similar taste with some roasted aromas. Hard toasted bread.

pivnizub (10670) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 6, 2012
Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep ruby-amber coloured, clear, stable off-white foam, sweetish (rye-) bready to molassy nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, quite light bodied; quite slim bitter molassy-fruity finish with a lower balancing sweetness. Decent, should get a heavier body…
