Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle. Nice fresh. Lots of yeast. Clove, ripe banana, nice bitterness. Deep with a nice bitter-yeasty aftertaste. The clove and the banana harmonize very well. Very nice Weizenbock.

bottle, picked up in the big shed by the brewery. hazy golden with a chunky fluffy head; loads of banana in the aroma, some vanilla and hay; nectar-like texture; luscious sweetness, cake dough, some warming alcohol; pretty decent

Pours a murky orange color. The aroma and flavor have dark fruits, caramel, wheat malts, some toasted character

Bottle:Deep golden, cloudy, orangey sheen, very big and very stable creamy off-white head, moderate to solid sweet fruity-wheaty with a touch and bitter almonds; sweet and solid flavour, astonishingly light bodied but soft; short - relatively thin sweet and nutty finish. Good aroma, but all in all a bit too sweet…

(bottle) Cloudy, murky golden colour with a huge and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, cara-malty, mildly wheaty and slightly bready aroma with notes candied fruits and overripe bananas. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite sugary malty start with notes of bread, ripe fruits, caramel and a present alcoholic touch from the middle part; sweet malt-accented finish with notes of a strong fruit punch with a milky touch in the aftertaste. Not my first choice Weizenbock. 19.XI.12

Koelschtrinker (20594) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 21, 2011
Gutes Weizen, weniger guter Weizenbock. 11/9/10/8//8

Bottle 500ml. @ home.

[ Trade by Koelschtrinker ]. Murky medium orange color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully to mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy yeasty, orange - citrus, yeast, rubber, light banana, light alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, fruity, yeasty, rubber notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20110317]
