Draught at the Yard House, Honolulu, HIOakes (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 24, 2014
Brown color with red shades, creamy head. Light but nice aroma of roasted nuts and roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel, with moderate nice flavor of roasted malt and nuts; correct bitterness.
It has a good balance, nice beer.
Light brown colour. Aroma is mild. Taste has a caramel note first, maybe a touch of toastiness. There’s a bit of tartness in the finish that wasn’t evident at the brewery, but is in the can. That’s disappointing. Mild malts are about it, a basic brown. bhensonb (15624) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 2, 2012
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark amber with a beige head. Aroma of roast malt, hops and hint of chocolate. Med body. Flavor is very smooth brown ale, not harsh like some. It’s just off dry. Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 31, 2010

Dark brown color with a small tan head.
Sweet caramel and darkish malt in aroma but also a hint of sourness lurking there.
The flavor is sweet dark malt, mild sourness and mild hops. Boring. Brown ale as it’s... not best.
Can. Lactic, light metallic caramel malt and hay aroma. Medium brown with large tan head. Sweet caramel malt and light bitter hay flavor. Light metallic finish. Metallic flavor much more apparent if drinking straight from the can. KyotoLefty (10611) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 4, 2011
