3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not a bad brown ale. It pours a very dark brown but has almost no carbonation, the head retention is almost non-existant. The beer does does have a nice dry bitter finish following the malty sweetness though.
Pours a thin head on a brown body.
Aroma is roasted malt and coffee, nice.
Taste is mild roasted malt and nuts.
Texture is smooth. furthur (1225) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - JAN 12, 2017
Can from brewery, served in the can, at champagne pond. I guess it’s brown, I can see a skiff of white foam inside the can. Smells like brown ale, tastes like brown ale. Palate and carbonation average. Pair with geothermally heated saltwater and sunsets. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2017
Draught at Lucy’s in Hilo. Brown beer, barely translucent. Nice frosty head. Deep barley aroma with some chocolate. Cold and frosty choco-barley flavor. Delicious while waiting for my moxige cai! User134089 (1644) - - DEC 29, 2015

Poured a brownish, mahogany murky color with 2-to-3 fingers of light, khaki tan, frothy head. Very good, foamy, layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled boozy alcohol, toasty bread, roasted toffee, nuts, earthy rye, unsweetened iced tea, light caramel and faint herbal hops. (Smell - 3.50)
Tasted better than the nose, getting rye, unsweetened iced tea, roasty malts, herbal hops, nuts, faint dark caramel, dark wheat bread, some menthol and light Citra zest. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This beer was decent, especially after getting past the smell. Very good for the style. (Overall - 3.75)

Can shared that poured an unfiltered brown color with big tan head. There is a mild sourness in the nose don’t know if it’s suppose to be there or not. An almost tea scent and hay. The flavor was wretched tinny/coiny caramel sweet and sour disgusting. Could be a bad can but don’t think so. rosenbergh (11760) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 18, 2015
12 oz can. From a grocery store in Honolulu, HI.Patrickctenchi (6693) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2015
Dark brown color with a small tan head.
Sweet caramel and darkish malt in aroma but also a hint of sourness lurking there.
The flavor is sweet dark malt, mild sourness and mild hops. Boring. Brown ale as it’s... not best.
Cloudy brown with a frothy, light tan head.
Caramel...slightly bitter-nutty scent.
Taste is caramel malt, woody bitter.....definitely some metal notes in there....
Ok, but a bit thin. shrubber85 (11582) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 19, 2015
Can. Lactic, light metallic caramel malt and hay aroma. Medium brown with large tan head. Sweet caramel malt and light bitter hay flavor. Light metallic finish. Metallic flavor much more apparent if drinking straight from the can. rick_91709 (494) - USA - JUN 21, 2015
Poured from a can. Dark brown color. Very little head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet tasting up front but finishes with a weird metallic bitterness. Not very good.
