Quite delightful...maybe a little too sweet, but a really inviting fruity & malty nose. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2006
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of the Michigan crew. Pours a hazy amber with some sediment and an average size lasting white head. Very fruity malty aroma with some hops and alcohol. Sweet and fruity malty flavour with herbal hops and alcohol and a nice bitter finish -- very tasty! Medium bodied. In my notes I wrote "YEAH!" so it’s safe to say I really liked this. BuckeyeBoy (7681) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 28, 2009
Thanks to footbalm for this vintage BW. Pours out a dark amber topped with a nice head. Aroma was of light hops that have given up. Some sweetness mostly caramel along with some rich malts. Taste a little dusty along with the sweet caramel. The hops are about gone. I would say a little past it prime but It is alway fun to try something from a company who is out of business.

Bottle shared on 8/16/06 by TheBeerCellar2: Pours a clear copper brown with a thin-lacing wispy off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and a touch of piny hops. Body starts with a sweet viscous caramel maltiness, a hint of raisins and brown sugar and a nicely-balanced, bittersweet, mildly warming finish. A good barleywine. Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, mds and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle via one or more fellow RB’ers met in Michigan July ’06. Poured slightly hazy orange with a small off-white head. Fairly mild aroma of leafy/herbal hops and solid citrusy/juicy malt, alcohol. Taste - ahh, there’s the stuff - woody orange juice malt, alcohol, solid green herbal hops - long, bitter, alcohol/hop finish. Average body, good level of carbonation, for once a nice malty-bitter aftertaste - very nice indeed! 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 30, 2007
Bottle: Straightforward brown, somewhat dark, moderate to large foamy light beige head, very nice lacing.   Caramel nose, soft
citrus hop notes, with a little Avon perfume added in.   Biscuity start, somewhat bright, a little alcohol, with a soft caramel and hop
presense.   Not as thick as I would have liked, actually its fairly thin on the backside.   Continues with the citrus rind aspect
through the finish.   Decent, but for a 9.9% Barley Wine its fairly light.   Bump up the malts a bit and give it a bit more hop
bite, and then we’ve got something.   However, for a nearly 10% beer its fairly clean and smooth.   Thanks goes out to Bill
for yet another Portland gem. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - NOV 30, 2008

KP’s Fest. THanks to Jay I think. Pours a bright deep amber with a thin lasting light beige head. Aroma is sweet thick sharp caramel malts, light citrusy hops and some fruity esters mixing with some alcohol heat. Caramel and toffee sweetness with a good amount of hops, fruity- light apple, raisin etc. Very nice on the palate and has a long smooth sweet finish. Good BW.
