2 finger creamy, tan head. Close to pitch black beer.

Aroma is toffee, dark roast coffee, vanilla, oak barrel, dark chocolate and cream.

Taste is espresso, cream, toffee, vanilla and a hint of dried dark fruits.

Mouthfeel is on the thinner side but has a decent smoothness to it. Low carbonation. Medium coffee bitterness. Good stickiness. No real pure alcohol in this, rather it has some nice whisky notes.

Overall: Haven't heard of Hawkshead Brewery before but everytime Cigar City is in on a stout, it turns out great. Expected some sort of pastry stout but it was a lot more on the roasted side with a great accompanying sweetness that never took over. The downside to this beer was clearly the mouthfeel, too thin but compensated for with smoothness, stickiness and a nice bitterness. Great stuff!

Mörkt brun mot svart öl med ett ljusbrunt skum. En god öl men så mycket Tiramisu är det inte. Det är mest kaffedelen som framträder. Övriga smaker är choklad och vanilj.

Vanilla, milk chocolates, and cream aroma. Taste is creamy coffee, chocolates, and vanilla. Sweet. Almost too sweet.

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a dense dark tan head and spotty lace. Aroma of roasted coffee, medium-roasted malt with a touch of ash, dark chocolate, toffee, a touch nutty, vanilla. Flavour is lightly sweet and a touch liqueur-ish, with a core of dark caramel/syrup malt notes, mocha, vanilla, cream, cocoa powder and fairly light dusty roast notes. Finish is dry with more dusty roast, sweetened black coffee, tiramisu, lightly roasty bitterness. Light to medium body, creamy though also a touch watery, soft carbonation, no alcohol. Quite balanced and not too dessert-heavy, highly drinkable and tasty but lacking a bit of heft.

Flaska systembolaget. Brunsvart vätska. Påtaglig doft av sött kaffe. Lite choklad och vanilj. Söt smak av kaffe, mjölk och lite sockerkaka. Len munkänsla
