Keg at Tweedies Bar, Grasmere. Very dark brown. Opaque. No head. Cold black coffee, single estate dark chocolate, cinnamon, black cherry in the aroma. Complex taste which starts sweet then turns more bitter with a roasted and almost savoury turn, with notes of salted caramel. Bitter hop notes in the finish, with more coffee in the aftertaste. Flat, oily body... it could use a bit of life. All in all however it is a top top stout.

Black with a cocoa head. Really boozy coffee aroma. Thick, chewy, coffee but with an almost wet cardboard flavour that lets it down a bit.

On cask at Woodfest 2017 Castleford - Dark cola like body, no head. Nose is a very heady black coffee, loads of espresso beans. Taste is strong black coffee again, a bit of booziness at the back, strength really tells with this one. Hard work, but very tasty...
