COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle - also occasionally available in cask.
It’s lager, but it’s tasty. Lager/ pilsner is a great beer style, given a bad name by multi-national fizz. This is, as you would expect, pale, with restrained but fresh hop character from European lager hops. Lager malt has been used, but the rules broken by using ale not lager east.
Rarely in cask, but when it is it flies out. Brewed largely for bottle.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - light citrus and metal. Some spice. Taste - more citrus. Maybe peach. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - ok.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Really good beer, which I suspect is wholly improved by being cask. Grainy, earthy, slightly citrus and tangy lager. Very good. Gone down in a flash.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2016 October 2016 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. Thanks Fergus! As ’Hawkshead Lakeland Lager’. Pale yellow, clear, still, off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is custard creams, buttery and corn. Body is light, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is buttery biscuits, woody, white pepper. A bit buttery, but tastes good enough. But then the first beer after a shit underground journey always tastes good. (2.8)

Bottle at level 42. It pours clear yellow with medium white head. The aroma is sweet, toasty, paper, grain, grass and cracker. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, very grainy, white bread, grassy and straw without a dry finish. Light - medium body and average carbonation. Basic lager.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Crispy cereal in the nose, light biscuits, lemon, hay. Light sweet flavour with notes of pale grains, bread, more cereal, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty crisp to finish, a touch on the sweet side, with further cereal and biscuit, hay. Enjoyable.

TBone (17429) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 17, 2016
Bottled 330ml (AbM, BB 03/2017)
Quite misleading name for this ... ale is ale, not lager. Clear golden color, mostly vanishing white head. Neutral aroma has fruits and barley. Light-bodied. Sweetish malty, Saaz spiceyness and grass, cardboardish. Even this is an ale, really neutral and paperish (thanks for green bottle?) flavor.
