Bottle from Beer Moth. It pours clear gold with a decent white head. The nose is earthy, brett, orange sherbet, Irn Bru, spice, funk, wheat, hay and bread. The taste is quite light...bitter, funky, earthy brett, straw, hay, spice, dirt, pretty, straw, damp mouldiness, lemon rind and must with a dry finish. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Nice aroma, but taste is a touch light and dirty. Underwhelming if truth be told.

Bottle from work. Aroma of Bret and piss. The Bret is fairly strong with this one. Oaky horse blanket, grassy, musty, refreshing. Slight lemony note. Very well done. Not just flat Bret water like some other UK brewery which shall remain nameless does. Wheat beer bubble gum & liquorice in the aftertaste.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of funky yeast, honey, foam banana sweets, coriander, porridge oats and a hint of white pepper. Flavour of tart lemon, bread, herbs and minerals. Thin body with a light, oily texture. Soft fizz. From an excellent brewery, a really interesting beer - it’s like a Hefeweizen-Saison-Witbier blend.

On tap at What’s Brewing. An unclear, orange-colored beer with a small, white head. The aroma is fruity, with banana notes. Oranges, wheat, a herbal touch and some yeast. It’s dry and full-bodied on the palate, pleasantly carbonated and with a citrus peel kind of bitterness. Rather fruity. Lasting finish. A refreshing and quenching beer, but even the brett couldn’t make me excited. Perhaps it didn’t have enough time on the brett until it was released. 141031
