Bottle, 33cL. Home. A shining brown amber beer with a big white foamy head ; good retention. Red berries (blackberry), candied fruits, light caramel, roast, light herb. Light sweet and light dry short bitter refreshing. Light body, thin texture, average to soft carbonation, short fruity roasty dry finish. Overall, fair. Good fruity toffee characters, but short story.

33cl bottle. Pours clear deep copper colour with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of citrons, red malt. Taste of dry citrus hops, nuts, caramel, red malt, okay!

harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear brown beer lasting beige head. Toffee aroma. Some decent malts. Not much hop. OK, if a little underdemanding.

HopMagnet (18) - Katoomba, AUSTRALIA - JAN 18, 2016
330mL bottle, BeerBud Advent Pack. Pours deep copper brown with minimal head. Rich malty, toffee aromas, followed by malty, burnt caramel flavours with dark chocolate hints and moderate bitterness. Good depth but falls away a little at the finish. Interesting amber ale.

Copper/brown pour with a decent off white head. Toffee, slight chocolate aroma. Taste is similar, a little choc/caramel, ends a bit thin.

Deep red/brown, good malt profile, cola aroma and flavour, caramel. Not bad.

Westkyoto77 (635) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 19, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2015 Bottle. Fizzed up a bit on opening, but gave up beautiful creamy toffee aromas, lots of caramel and a hint of spice. Didn’t turn out as sweet as I’d feared, and fairly well balanced.

ANZUShophunter (425) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2015
From bottle, pours dark amber with little head (perhaps a bit past its prime). Enjoyable rich malts: mollases and a bit of spice. Worth another visit.

The aromas of chocolate and caramel is pleasant, but on tasting this beer is thin and uninteresting when tasted. Disappointing.
