Draft sample at FoBAB ’12. Pours oily black in color with a small creamy khaki head. The aroma has chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits favoring black cherry, coffee, molasses, vanilla and bourbon. The flavor has dark chocolate, roasted malts, dark caramel, molasses, black cherry, moderate sweetness, bourbon, vanilla with a thick mouth feel. Earthy bitterness to the finish. Growler shared at RBWG, poured a black color with aro.as of earth, fudge, coffee, booze, and some vanilla. Flavors were a eich chocolate with some coffee thrown in, a touch if wood and earthy hops and finishing with a light bourbon finish. Thanks to whoever brought this gem, a very tasty beer overall. jbruner (5124) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Growler shared at RBWG! Pours an opaque black with thin tan head and light lacing, a good amount of brown film on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, but overlying bourbon on all of it. Taste follows, solid bourbon barreled imperial stout. A bit boozy, thick mouth that sticks nicely to your tongue. Great beer.

Appearance: Black with a small tan head
Aroma: Roasted malts and chocolate
Taste: Roasted malts, chocolate and light metallic
Growler at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Thanks, Chris! Black with a small tan head that fades pretty quickly. Nose shows lots of port upfront, rich dark fruits, roast, cocoa. Great nose, even though its so big. Haven’t had the regular Acrimonious, but I was very impressed with the balance of this one and how well the port barrel blended with the base imperial stout. Really tasty, one of my fave imperial stouts of the weekend. stevencon (522) - Sarasota, Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2013

Big sweet flavor, sweet dark fruits, raisins, fruitcake. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty chewy. Sweet, sticky sugary finish, dark toffee, bittersweet cocoa, raisins. Really good. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Black pour with tan watery head. Aroma of light BB and chocolate. Chocolate, BB and coffee dominate. Smooth full bodied beer. A little rough around the edges but really good.
