Black with a minimal tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and some oak. Similar taste. Sweet and tasty. A "dessert beer".

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2015 Rating 2100. Small pour at Haymarket. Pours a deep black with a beige head. Strong rich bourbon aroma. Lots of wood vanilla bourbon and some sweet chocolate malt. It is rather reminiscent of bourbon county stout. Rich bourbon flavors. Bourbon bourbon and sweet chocolate malts that finish dry. There is a touch of bitter wood and possibly oxidation in there. Poured a deep black color with aromas of vanilla, chocolate, roast, bourbon, wet wood and some light earth. Flavors were sticky chocolate and vanilla with some light bourbon, and roast in the finish, a solid treatment that hid the abv well.

GABF 2014. Pours a deep brown appearance with a slightly thin brown head. A little on the boozy side but I guess that’s expected for the 13% boost. Dark chocolate, caramel, a bit of coconut. Almost like German Chocolate cake. Nice fucken beer but not as good as the Templeton release a few years back
