[Tap] Pours a chestnut brown color. Not much head on top. Sweet caramel, brown sugar and light booze in the nose. More caramel, unrefined sugar, caramel and dark fruit in the taste. Lighter alcohol notes and a somewhat grainy finish. Pretty good. ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 15, 2014

Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, caramel, brown sugar, spice, yeast, and some dark fruit
Appearance: It pours a hazed amber-brown color with a fizzy off-white head and average lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, rich malts, dark fruit, banana, spice, and brown sugar
Palate: The body is medium, it has some stickiness, and a has a smooth mouthfeel
I thought this was a very solid example of the style. It may be a bit too sweet, but that is on-style too. Pretty solid stuff, especially for fans of the sweeter Belgian styles.
On tap @ Haymarket. Amber/brownish colored beer with an off-white head. Heavy raisin, plum, and banana fruitiness. Sweet caramel and brown sugar, some toffee, and baked apples. Flavor is very sweet and fruit forward. Tons of dark fruit. Brown sugar, banana, raisin, and cola. A hint of chocolate and lots of caramel. Too sweet for me. Draft at the brewpub. Snifter, nice brown hue with fluffy head. Spicy aroma, malty, brown sugar. Thick body, taste profile is also spicy yeast, bready, good carbonation to balance the malty sweetness. Very enjoyable. ARH (1135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 26, 2014
On tap, poured into a 4 oz sampler glass. The aroma is a combination of grape candy, caramel syrup, and figs. It pours a clear, but dark caramel body with a fluffy, whipped ring of head. It does leave behind some light, micro bubble lacing. The taste is highly sweet with a light bitterness. It’s a full body beer with a grainy texture, and creamy carbonation. If finishes with sweet caramel, figs, and grain. The figs and roasted grain linger a bit in the aftertaste (the grains longer than the figs).

Draft at haymarket. From notes. Belgian candi sugar and dried fruits. Another winner. Dfonorow (2250) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 19, 2014
On tap @ Haymarket. Pour is hazy amber with no head. Aroma is sweet - raisins, dried fruit, apples, caramel. Flavor is also on the sweeter side with added notes of yeast, nuts, and earth. Strange metallic and spice on the finish. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly cloudy amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of dark malts, fruit and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of bready malt, raisins and yeast. The finish is fruity with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Decent overall. kermis (14125) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2013
Draft at the brewpub in Chicago. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit, raisins, licorice and caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. jmgreenuk (9696) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - OCT 16, 2013
Tap at the Brewpub, Chicago. Poured a clear chesnut brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is burnt toffee sweet. The flavour is medium bitter with a big roasted malt, liqourice, nutty, smooth alcohol, hoppy, spice palate. I really enjoyed this.
