16oz can I brought back from India, pours a clear yellow with some cloudy, white head. Nose could be worse, malt, corn, butter, lemon. Flavor is grossly sweet, candy corn, lemon, malt, industrial too. Gross finish. Rasmus40 (21822) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2016

Haywards 5000 has a thin, white head, a clear, yellow-gold appearance, tiny, white sediment specks, throughout, and some sheet lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of honey-topped white bread, green apple, white bread crust, malt, golden raisin, and rice pudding. Taste is of those elements, with sharp alcohol notes (think of V.S. brandy), some grain husk, honey, corn, and a touch of low-level, rounding hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Haywards 5000 finishes crisp and enjoyable. RJT Maris (1585) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2016
From a 330ml bottle on 1/5/2016. Pours a clear light golden. The nose features some light apple and grain. Flavour wise, it’s very sweet and fruity - certainly has more than a hint of apple juice about it. Finishes with a very mild bitterness. Medium bodies with average carbonation. Doesn’t come across as 7%. An unusual, slightly cider like brew which isn’t too bad at all.

Bottle share at Cotteridge II as ’Haywards 5000’. Many thanks to the malt liquor appreciation society for providing this one. Pale yellow, clear, still, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is sickly sweet, corny, honey. Body is light-ish, soft carbonation. Taste is light and insipid, sweetcorn, sugary wet biscuit. Ych a fi. Bottle thanks to Richy / Sarky / Boosty at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours clear gold with a medium+ white head. The aroma is simple, grainy, cracker, white bread and cereal. The taste is crazy sweet, sugary, sweet white bread, earth, dirty honey, sweetcorn and a sort of oiliness. Finish is sweet and sugary. Medium body and average carbonation. Damn this is sweet and filthy. A challenge to drink. Reid (2621) - Salem, Oregon, USA - MAR 12, 2016
