1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2014 Rerate: In an Indian restaurant and decided to try this one again. Lot worse this time than I remember. Appearance is fine, but no aroma. Body is good, but almost no taste. Not very enjoyable.
Haywards is an Indian lager with some flavor and body. Sweet maltiness that isn’t too bad for an Indian restaurant. Nice amber color with fluffy head that dissipates quickly. Served in an big 1 pint 6 oz bottle.

Sweet syrupy aroma
Flava is syrupy sweet with hints of malty grains and tobacco
Feels medium and silky with lively fizz
Finishes tangy malty mildly sweet
Barwy jasnej, złotej, klarowne. Piana biała, drobna, delikatnie oblepia szkło. Aromat słodowy, trochę słodki, słaba intensywność. W smaku słodowe, trochę słodkie, goryczka niska. Nie czuć mocy tego piwa. Dosyć przyjemnie się pije. Tmoney99 (15029) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 5, 2017
Bottle. Poured clear golden color with a large white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet grass aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Sweet malt beer. TedE (1498) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 24, 2017
330ml bottle @ Taj Agra, Canberra. Sweet malt nose, crystal clear golden beer with thin film of suds on top. Slight zing. Quickly goes from sparkly fun to liquorice cardboard alcohol blast! Much more interesting than I thought it would be. Skarecrow (973) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 26, 2017

Pale straw/no head.
Had the typical Indian beer grainy/corn aroma.
Grainy taste with usual malt liquor ABV palate/finish.
Golden beer, poured into a pilsner glass from a pint bottle. Barely any aroma, mainly malt. Taste is too sweet corn, finish is nasty harsh sweet malt. Imagine people drinking 10 million cases of this. KeefOz (1923) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JAN 15, 2017
Tasted 12/1/2017. 500ml can; Amzi Restaurant, Little India, Singapore; $S5.50. BB 25/07/17. Poured a crystal clear golden amber with a one-finger open foam head that diminished quickly to a collar that laced poorly. Carbonation nil. Aroma of slight malt and a hint of rice; no obvious hops. Taste of slight malt with an over-powering sugary sweetness and as slight bitterness. Light body. Smooth with a very sweet finish and alcohol warmth. C: gold, clear.
A: malt, corn, rice, hint of roasted malt, biscuit, rubber, dark caramel, alcohol.
T: malt, light fruity tones, biscuit, papery, oxidized, mineral, corn, sweet alcohol, medium to full body, lower carbonation, if this beer is in India as an old brand of good strong beer it´s a big mistake, "alcohol strength not exceeding 8% v/v", 0,5l can from my wife´s trip to India.
Bottle from World Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is candy corn sweet. Taste is Corn Syrup Wine. nearbeer (5636) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 20, 2016
650 ml. bottled 03-05-2015 label says "for export out of India" and "alcohol strength not exceeding 8% v/v" so maybe this is the 8% "Bold" version? Pour is clear golden with a thin film of creamy bubbles. Smell is sweet rice, corn, honey, dried grass, booze and a bit of skunk. Flavors of sweet corn, caramel, rice and a touch of dried grass. Medium body is sweet and a touch boozy. Light-medium carbonation. I don’t mind a malty brew, but I could only stomach about half of this bomber bottle before I had to bail on this one.
