COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 10th annual tribute to extreme beer: Jewbelation 18 was indeed brewed with 18 malts and 18 hops and finally dropped to a "sessionable" 12.4% abv so we can sell to all our states. This year’s monster emerges as a big, big juicy dessert of a beer with rich sweet blasts of chocolate and mocha with layers of dark fruit notes of black cherry, date and fig. More like a port or sherry - hints of what might come from barrel aging - but this year just from the enormous amount of malt, piles of hops and the 8 weeks of fermentation and aging that brought our 18th anniversary creation to life. If your "sessions" include sharing precious ounces of huge beers with good friends and family, grab one now, save one for later, and enjoy!

22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a small sized tan head. Definitely a sweet sipper. Caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, and boozy.

Digging through the cellar. 12 ounce bottle as part of the 2014 He’Brew holiday 8-pack, purchased in January 2015 at Holiday Wine Cellar. POURS a dark brown with garnet highlights and an impressive two fingers of quite creamy foam with good retention. AROMA of sweet toffee, some chocolate, holiday fruitcake, prunes, and nutty malts. Nicely complex FLAVOR of super sticky toffee and caramel candy (approaching cloying), chocolate fondue, molasses, candied dark fruit, tawny port, with some additional oxidized notes after more than two years, and possibly a small hint of lactic tartness. Thick mouthfeel, but the alcohol is fairly well concealed. Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. A little disappointed to see the brewery finally abandon the corresponding ABV with the anniversary year, but it was not going to be sustainable. Regardless, this "sessionable" barleywine really does nicely for itself. (53, 1050)

Pours dark brown with a beige head: aroma is boozy, dark fruit, toffee, yeasty, thick. Taste is sweet and boozy. Thick. Plenty of complexity. Sweet aftertaste. Is what it is.

22oz bottle 9/12/16 (Happy B-Day To Me)-42° in Snifter-Pours black with a brown head. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel, sweetness, malt, and chocolate. Taste of the same with more sweetness and caramel on the back end. This full bodied brew is well balanced even though there is a lot going on. They amaze me with all the different hops and malts that it comes out his tasty.

APPEARANCE- black as could be with a surprisingly white head. NOSE- deep roasty notes, prunes and black licorice mix. FLAVOR- very slight bit of sourish flavor is prevalent at the front of the sip. super dark and flavorful, but i can’t put my finger on exactly what the flavor is.

shigadeyo (3767) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 2, 2016
Grape, hint of chocolate, very malty; sweet and malty, raisin golden raisin, grape, prune, dark chocolate, quite sweet; medium full body, a bit syrupy; really drinkable for the style and alcohol content; goes down so easily after the Sam Adams Triple Bock and Utopias! I love Jewbelation.

thornecb (6022) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 4, 2016
Pours mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Hot pit fruit and chocolate aromas. Hot cherry and caramel upfront turning to hot chocolate in the lasting finish.

22 oz bottle from Party Town. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium plus sized khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big dark fruit character, raisins, figs, black cherries, molasses, some vinous character, I can see the port character mentioned, although sweet, not cloying and much more going on, hints of chocolate and brown sugar, creamy smooth, some alcohol, defensively warming, nice to sip with the snow going on at this time.
