For me this one was a little thin and watery. I didn’t taste enough malt or hops. At Bear Water there are a lot of better choices. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 14, 2014
on tap-lt tan-copper. A-slight earthy/citrus, lt malt. T-earthy hops, lt/med malt-bready. Nice English ale, Not sure about APA style. bubbleflubber (2235) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 27, 2012
On tap at the brewery, it pours copper into the glass, with a nice thick eggshell ring head that leaves spotty lace. The nose has some copper and grains. Sweet caramel malts, a touch of dough mid-palate and finishes with a tiny spiced bitter. The mouthfeel is thin and overcarbonated. This feels much more like an ESB than anything else.
