On tap at Heartland in Union Square with Dan Park. Heartland Cornhusker Lager is another failed attempt at a variation of a classic beer. This pale lager is of a lesser quality than Miller Lite, with a lack of consistency that can be expected from a micro brew.

Orange gold color, white head. The aroma is malty, corny, earthy, toasted malts, orange peel. The flavor is same as the aroma, earthy, malty, adjuncts like corn. The finish is slighly bittered by hops, but is otherwise unremarkable. medium mouthfeel. Not good.

Draught at Heartland Brewery & Rotisserie, 23rd July 2009. Gold with foaming off-white head. Maltiness to the fore with the perfume of sweetcorn (fairly strong aroma, that I felt worked well). A dryish finish on a smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant drink, even for a hop lover like me!

light, not crisp, super clear, no mouthfeel, boring, not worth it, this is the kind of beer that you try once... needs hops, filled with light malt

Location: On tap at the 51st and 6th location of the brew pub

Aroma: Earthy malts/barley
Appearance: light orange color, thin/med head
Flavor: Dominated by the malts, some sweet corn, not hoppy at all
Palate: Light to medium body, leaning light
Overall Impression: A standard, not too exciting lager typical of the lager offerings from other chain brewpubs...

My least fav of their regulars Poured a medium gold with a thin white head. Aroma was grainy with a light grassy hop. Flavour was grainy sweet and pretty unremarkable.
