A bit boring for an imperial pumpkin. Weak color, mild aroma and flavor, finishes sour. They offer better pumpkins beers at this brewery.

Draft at Empire State Building HB. A sweet, full bodied pumpkin ale with a touch of hot alcohol (9% ABV). Plenty of cinnamon, ginger, clove, etc. Dried up a bit on the finish. bobaidan (530) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - SEP 23, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Pours murky orange with a medium sized head. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice with an unpleasant scent I can only describe as barf. Medium in body with good carbonation. Flavor is OK with a lot of sweetness, cinnamon, pumpkin and a bit of tartness. Not a great beer. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - OCT 22, 2011
Draft at brewpub. Pours orange with white had. Nose/taste of pumpkin spice, all spice and nutmeg. Lots of alcohol in finish. Medium body. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - SEP 28, 2011
On tap at the Radio City location. A clear amber hue with very little head, to thin to tell any color. Naturally head faded away quickly. Aroma had mostly cinnamon to it, some mild pumpkin notes and a slight fruitiness to it almost like peach. Flavor seemed to have a little imbalance to it, cinnamon notes were present. Mild pumpkin and a mix of alcohol and fruit. Alcohol was present but mild and the body was rather thin. Probably should have went with the regular pumpkin ale.

An amped up version og thir old standby, the Smiling Pumpkin. More o less the same, sweet, pumpkin, cinnamon, other spices on the nose. Translucent orange color, white head. Flavor follows aroma. This is actually a little sweeter than the original. Medium in body. Sweet on the finish, with some spiciness. Not bad at all. trapped (3147) - New York, TURKEY - FEB 4, 2011
Clear amber color with amber-white small head, strong pumpkin aroma, mild carbonation, strong alcohol taste, long finish. Tasted like an unbalanced beer. Not very recommendable blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Draft at the Empire State Building location. Pours amber with an off white head. Lightly sweet pumpkin aroma with nutmeg and other spices. The flavor is anise-like-spicy with ginger, clove, and pumpkin spice, on top a lightly sweet malt base. Not bad. msojka (457) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 18, 2010
Pours a shade of transparent mahogany. Smell of spices indicative of the fall and winter seasons. Taste is something which I could not exactly put my tongue on, almost like a clove or an allspice. Overall not a very bad beer, and not very noticeable that it’s 8% abv. fiulijn (20493) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 1, 2010
Draught at Spuyten Duyvil, New York
Nice amber color. The aroma is light, dusty, and unfortunately it immediately shows some light cinnamon; also some yeast and feet. Medium body structure, simple malt/caramel flavor, with traces of vegetables and cinnamon. Ordinary bitterness. Rather unpleasant.
