Tap @ Boston/NY 2009. Clear golden amber color, short head. Good hoppy nose. Quite harsh bitterness in taste, but best of the bunch for me. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 31, 2010
Draft. Now advetised at 7.75% ABV. Pours a bright golden orange with a white head. Crisp piny and citric hops in the nose. The flavor has citric hops, a piny hint, and some light malty sweetness. Quite good. Lubiere (13909) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 28, 2009
A golden amber ale with a thick off white head. Nice light and pungeant aroma of c-hops, restrained and classy. In mouth, a good crisp malt with nice floral hops, nice and balanced for an IPA. On tap at brewpub Times Sq., July 2, 2009 jjuf1853 (1302) - Land O Lakes, Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2009
Draft at Heartland (Empire State Building, NYC). Tons of citrus hops in the aroma and flavor. The 8.4% is not as noticable as you might expect. Nice bitterness in the finish. Pretty tasty overall. ben4321 (6505) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 20, 2009

Aroma: Lots of wonderful citrus hops, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, etc
Appearance: Hazy orange color, with a thin head
Flavor: An ambrosial taste with a really nice citrus hop flavor, powerful and tasty hop character
Palate: Pretty full body, a nice lasting duration, really solid
This was probably my 3rd or 4th time at a Heartland, and this was the best beer I have had from these guys by far. Really nice brew, great refreshing break on a hot day.
Pours an amber color with a small creamy head. Great hops, fruity, spicey flavor. Top notch! tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2008 Beautiful aroma of piney and citrusy hops. The appearance is very attractive, an orange/red white a white head, hazy in color. The taste is very hoppy of course, with a dominating citrus flavor, but the flavor had a very sweet and fruity quality as well. The palate left a nice hoppy impression. Excellent beer overall. A great IIPA in its own right, and definitely one of the best from Heartland. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 21, 2008
In short: A highly sugary hoppy beer. Uninteresting.JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2008
How: Tap at brewpub (Empire State Building location)
The look: Cloudy dirty orange topped by a small off-white head
In long: Uninteresting sugary malt profile, way too much residual sugar and not enough rich caramel, I’d even go as far as to say that this 8.4% sugary beer was a little watery. The sugary thin body provides no place for the alcohol to hide and it is therefore rather apparent. Hops profile brings coniferous notes and apricots but they don’t blend well with the thin sugary body, nothing would really. This pub is located under the Empire State Building and let me tell you that I’m happy the physical pub is more solid than their beers otherwise the Empire State Building would look like the Tower of Pisa.
Tap at the Empire State location. All I can say is "wow!". Hazy/cloudy orange beer with a thin white head. Very aromatic bright hoppy nose. Loaded with orange peel, tangerine, mango/papaya over a lightly sweet pale malt backbone. Softly sweet light crystal malt that accents the sweet fruity hops nicely. Comes across like a tropical fruit hop bomb. Fairly assertive bitterness with just a touch of light resinousness on the back. Bright citrusy hop flavour throughout with a light piny finish. Easily the best Heartland beer I’ve ever had and one worth seeking out. rugbydude05 (478) - Bridgewater, NJ, New Jersey, USA - JUL 30, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2008 Very impressive beer- so much that they can only give you 10oz fo the 16oz price. Very hoppy aroma with strong citrus character in aroma and taste. Very strong alcohol taste and palate is rather bitter but enjoyable. Gotta try this one again sometime soon.
