Draft at Empire State location. Pours amber with an off white head. Medium sweet malts, faint diacetyl, and light earthy and toffee notes. For the style, this one has all of the bad and none of the good. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Aromas of caramel, cherry, apple, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet, with average length, and a touch of sourness. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Amber, with a head that disappears. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - NOV 16, 2010
Sampled in NYC Times Square. A pretty good little brew. Easy drinking, quality malts. Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - NOV 11, 2010
On tap at HB Burger w/ Deirdre. Malty brew... odd grape taste in the finish. Good but not crazy. Jow (3894) - New York, USA - OCT 9, 2010

(10/22/08) Draught sample at the brewpub at Empire State Building, New York. Clear deep amber color. Aroma of malt, some toastiness and light fruity hints. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel and butterscotch. Medium-bodied. rugbydude05 (478) - Bridgewater, NJ, New Jersey, USA - OCT 24, 2008
Tap at Union Square. Pours a dark color with clear appearance. Aroma very sweet but faint. Taste was malty with a little hop character. Very generic marzen- not much body but not too bad. Smooth palate but no aftertaste. HighlanderOne (1312) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2008
On tap at Heartland 51st. Hard to catch the aroma in the restaurant. Darker than I expected. Roasty malt flavor, some hops, very drinkable. Good finish. tgncc (3129) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 3, 2008
Beautiful color, mainly red, with purple and brown. very fall-like. Decent white head. The aroma is weak, and slightly off-putting. It’s mostly spicy, probably from hops, with some malyness. No many hops evince themselves in the flavor. The flavor is strongly caramel malts, with a slight hop bite. The finish is about the same. Decent marzen. Great Octoberfest color, Good roasted malt flavor with a bit of counteracting bitterness. Aroma is almost undetectable. A better example of the style.
